What colors should you wear?
Neutrals, Earth tones, or Pastels.
Neutral colors- grey, white, black
Earth tones- brown, tans, green, warm grays, whites, yellow ochre (colors found in nature)
Pastels-soft colors, pink, mauve, baby blue, magic mint, peach, periwinkle, and lavender.
What colors not to wear! And why busy patterns are a bad idea.
Cameras have a hard time processing colors like..
Bold or Neon colors
Red, orange, hot pink, neon green
Don't wear busy patterns. But why?? I know you want to have everyone wear plaid because their super cute...but trust me this isn't a good look on camera. Busy patterns are distracting and take away from the subject of the photo, the best thing to do is wear a solid or a non busy floral pattern.
What to wear.
Dress up! How often do you get pictures done? Make the most of it, dress really nice!
What looks best on women?
Long flowy dresses. Or a flattering blouse and long flowy skirt.
What looks best on men?
A button up shirt and dress pants, khakis, or a nice pair of jeans.
What should kids wear?
A girl should wear a a frilly dress or tulle skirt.
A boy should wear a button up shirt, dress pants, khakis, or a nice pair of jeans.
Don't forget cute accessories!
Cute floppy hats, flower crown for the girls or hair bows for small girls.
Boys can be fun to dress up to! Add Vest, suspenders, or a bow tie to outfits.

Baseball caps! yes men I'm talking to you. Take off the cap brush your hair. You can put it back on after the shoot! The cap is a problem it creates a dark shadow on the face! It also impossible to pose a man and his wife close together if the cap is keeping their foreheads apart. Plus it just super unprofessional looking.
(Senior boys this does not apply to you. If you are just doing your senior pictures. Maybe you're on the baseball team then of course you'd want to wear your cap that perfectly fine!)
Don't put the kids in things that are "itchy" or "too tight" We want a great picture but if they aren't comfortable its not going to be fun for anybody!
Wear something that makes you happy!
Yes seriously! I don't want you to look back on the pictures and wish you wore something different! This day is more then just a picture to hang on the wall or send out on Christmas cards this day is a day full of memories, so lets make it happy ones!
